The Blanton House was originally built by business owner & mercantile Albert Blanton somewhere around 1910-1914. Best known as the “love build” among the family, Mr. Blanton built this impressive stately home for the love of his life Charlotte Walker Blanton. As the love Albert and Charlotte shared for each other, this Greek Revival home is nothing short of breathtaking.
Jeremy Salig is a chef rooted in the experiences of the American South and the Caribbean, where comfort food meets classic technique, depth, nuance, and surprise. His cooking is ingredient-driven and intuitive, shaped by years in standout Asheville kitchens like Cúrate, Cucina 24, The Laughing Seed, and Modesto, as well as a formative stint at New York’s Spotted Pig.
Supporter of local farms and follower of seasonal rhythms, he supplements his cuisine with ingredients grown by local farms and foraged from nearby forests. His food reflects a sense of place, if only imaginary, where taste knows no border— simple in appearance, layered in flavor, and always grounded in the purpose of nourishment and celebration.
His creativity guided by the seasons, Jeremy leads with quiet confidence, crafting menus that nourish, comfort, and keep people curious — food that feels like home, but never plays it safe.
My family and I saw the beautiful bar from the street and decided to swing by for after dinner cocktails. From the moment of walking in we were greeted with a very friendly host, the manager, and the bartender. The bartender made us exquisite drinks. We cannot wait to visit again. Fantastic drink options and the food looked delicious!
Wow, great new restaurant, fantastic food. Son and I visited and shared a charcuterie board. We each had a drink: Photo Finish in strawberry and peach. He also had a wine flight, which I tasted as well. He ordered the duck breast and I had the filet. Both were delicious, good solid choices and the filet was fork-tender and perfectly cooked. Great place and I will go back!
My wife and I went for brunch. The staff was extremely nice and pleasant. We have reservations for the evening meal and will be returning soon. This is what the good folks of Marion, NC, and the surrounding community needed. It is a very classy, fine dining atmosphere. Enjoyed it. The Blanton House is the go-to place for fine dining in the area. Take someone who is special to you there and enjoy the experience.
The Blanton House brunch was amazing! Shrimp and grits and the chicken and waffles were the very best I have ever had! Our waitress offered perfect recommendations as well as a small tour of all the beautiful rooms! This place is such a wonderful addition to Marion, and you should not hesitate to check them out!
